Anne Murakami

Anne's background covers more than 25 years working with user groups in the information technology industry,
10 of which were spent as an association management professional for Digital Equipment
Corporation managing one of the largest worldwide organizations of IT professionals, the
Digital Equipment Computer Users Society in Canada (DECUS). Anne is involved in
the commissioning of new on-line environments and managing the sociology of on-line
communities for ComunityWerke. She works closely with the clients' management and marketing teams
in the implementation of programs that include, but are not limited to,
the development of
user group programs, administration of member services and finances, and operation of
on-line projects. |
Urey Chan

Urey has been working in marketing and communications with corporations, government agencies, and
consumer interest groups since the 1980's. His work with organizations
such as Statistics Canada, Sports British
Columbia, the United Way, BMW Canada, and federal and provincial political organizations across Canada
involved developing customers and members into manageable remote user groups prior to the
availability of the Internet. Urey's role on the CommunityWerke
team is establishing on-line community solutions for communities of practice requirements. His understanding of
on-line management practices, collaboration and
communication tools, and the sociology of virtual communities enables CommunityWerke to
implement effective on-line community strategies for its clients in today's on-line environment. |
Shirley Chavez

Shirley comes from a solid background in project management of information systems and business
re-engineering with extensive experience in the areas of integration testing, quality assurance
and data modeling. Shirley's role on the CommunityWerke team is to evaluate the technical
requirements of the community development process and manage the development of applications. Her
recent involvement as a senior consultant on the development of Net Shepherd's multi-million
dollar, award winning online community management system provides her with a knowledge
base on technical development of applications for managing on-line community operations. Through
various senior consultant and project lead positions, Shirley's technical experience includes
working with corporations such as X-Wave, Canadian Pacific Railway, Emery Worldwide,
Gulf Canada Resources and IBM Canada. |
