| CommunityWerke's partners were a part of the team that pioneered the world's first on-line community that carried out activity of economic value. This was a virtual workforce that enable community members to work from home through the Internet and was managed by a platform consisting of social (human interactive management) and technoogy (network of application sub-systems). The project was nominated in 1999 for the Computerworld Smithsonian Award for technology innovation.
